Glee's Lea Michele: I simulated sex for play

Actress went topless for Broadway role

Actress Lea Michele plays Rachel Berry in US show Glee

Glee star Lea Michele once had to simulate sex while appearing in a New York play.

Before getting the role of Rachel Berry in the hit US show, the actress appeared in Spring Awakening on Broadway.

But Lea, 23, who went topless for the part, can't believe she went through with it now.

‘I did a simulated sex scene on stage, which was very tastefully done,' she tells Now.

‘But when I went back to watch the play I couldn't believe I'd done it.

'I was like: "Cover your eyes!" to all the people sitting next to me!'

Glee airs in the UK on E4 on Mondays at 9pm.

  Wow. Everyone who saw Spring Awakening knew this. Its nothing new. Its one of the first things you know about Lea when you hear her name. That is what the play is about after all..
