Alex Reid is now the bookies' favourite to win Celebrity Big Brother 2010.

The 34-year-old cross-dressing cagefighter, who is currently dating Katie Price, has defied the critics and come from being a complete outsider to having the shortest odds in the competition.

Former favourite Vinnie Jones' popularity has dipped sharply in recent days with Dane Bowers' surge of support tailing off as Friday's final gets closer.

Sky Bet's Celebrity Big Brother betting expert Helen Jacob says: ‘Alex has taken Vinnie's persistent ribbing with very good humour and has been the only one to challenge his arrogant and nasty ways.

‘Over the past two days, bets have been pouring in for Alex to win while money has dried up completely on Vinnie being the last celeb standing.'
