Doctor Who wins 2 National TV Awards

Declan Donnelly and Anthony McPartlin also scoop double

David Tennant scooped Outstanding Drama Performance

Doctor Who was the big winner at last night's National TV Awards.

The sci-fi show was named Best Drama and star David Tennant took home the Outstanding Drama Performance prize.

Declan Donnelly and Anthony McPartlin also nabbed 2 gongs.

Their show Saturday Night Takeaway was Best Entertainment Programme and the duo won the Best Entertainment Presenter trophy for the ninth year in a row.

'In the car on the way here we said the winning streak's got to end soon and thought it would be tonight, we really did,' said Ant.

Other winners included Coronation Street for Best Serial, EastEnders' Lacey Turner took home the Serial Drama Performance trophy and The X Factor was Best Talent Show.

Stephen Fry received the Special Recognition Award for his telly career.

Holly Willoughby, Cheryl Cole, Heather Mills and Dannii Minogue were just some of the stars at the event.

Dermot O'Leary hosted the ceremony at London's O2 Arena.
