Simon Cowell: Posh won't be a judge on US X Factor

Music mogul hasn't decided who will join him on panel yet

Simon Cowell has rubbished rumours that Victoria Beckham will be a judge on the US version of The X Factor.

Posh, 35, has been tipped to join the panel after she made a guest appearance on American Idol last year.

'That's not going to happen,' says Simon, 50. 'Absolutely not.

‘Not because I don't like her. It's just not going to happen.'

Simon plans to launch The X Factor in the States next year.

'In the UK we have 250,000 applicants every year and because there's no upper age limit and groups are allowed to enter, you get a lot of applicants,' he explains.

'So we gave ourselves time to set the show up in 2011 which also gives us some time to work out who the judging panel is going to be.

'I don't want to make any commitments just yet.'
