Cheryl Cole: I'm absolutely thrilled about Dannii Minogue pregnancy

Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue are both X Factor judges

Cheryl Cole is delighted that Dannii Minogue is pregnant.

The X Factor judge announced yesterday that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith, 31. 

'I am absolutely thrilled for Dannii and Kris,' says Cheryl, 26. 'I think it's fantastic news and the most special thing that could have happened to them both.'

Simon Cowell, 50, has also released a statement.

'Congratulations,' he tells The Sun. 'I'm thrilled for you.'

Louis Walsh, 57, adds: 'It's tremendous news and a great way for them to start a new decade.'

Meanwhile, Dannii's sister Kylie, 40, has turned to Twitter to express her joy.

'Congratulations to my sister Dannii and her partner Kris on the happy news,' she wrote. 'I'm so excited to be an Aunty again. Wow.'

The 38-year-old is due in July.
