Alex Reid and Dane Bowers appear to have patched up their differences after they reportedly had a confrontation on New Year's Eve.

The pair embraced each other as they entered the Celebrity Big Brother house last night and the cage fighter even joked of a ‘round 2'.

Alex, 34, is alleged to have floored Dane - who has since been snapped sporting a bruise above his right eye - during a row at girlfriend Jordan's house on Thursday. 

But last night, they both denied the claims when quizzed by host Davina McCall.

'I'm sorry to disappoint you, but we actually get on OK,' said Dane, 30 - who Jordan, 31, dated in 2000. 'We get on well. So what you read isn't true, as interesting as it sounds.'

Alex was also keen to stress there was no scrap.

'Categorically no, I wasn't even aware there was a fight until afterwards,' he said.

Their agents have since issued a joint statement.

'Both enjoyed the party until approximately 5am when Dane went outside to see if his cab had arrived and two unknown men assaulted him,' it reads. 'He was then helped into his cab by people there.'
