Michelle Keegan and Ryan Thomas 'become close' after Tina O'Brien split

Actress wants to cheer co-star up

Ryan Thomas and Tina O'Brien are parents to daughter, Scarlett

Ryan Thomas has turned to good pal Michelle Keegan to help lift his spirits following his split from Tina O'Brien.

The hunk, 25, was snapped in his Range Rover with his Coronation Street co-star, who plays on-screen lover Tina McIntyre, on Thursday.

‘Ryan loves working with Michelle and they have become very close since he split with Tina,' a source tells the Sunday People.

‘It has been a difficult period for him but because he and Michelle spend so much time together he has been relying on her.'

Ryan, who plays Jason Grimshaw, broke up with Tina, 26, last month.

They were together for 6 years and are parents to 13-month-old Scarlett.

Michelle, 22, has been dating club promoter Brad Howard for 2 years.
