Rachel Adedeji: I wasn't doing a Kanye West on The X Factor

Contestant was just excited for Joe McElderry

Rachel Adedeji was one of 12 finalists to make it through to the live shows on The X Factor

X Factor finalist Rachel Adedeji has defended her on-stage antics during the show's final.

The singer grabbed the mic from Joe McElderry during his last song, and shouted, ‘I love you, I love you'.

‘I wasn't trying to steal his thunder,' she says. ‘I was just so excited for him.

‘We are just so close but I wasn't having a Kanye West moment.'

Rachel, 18, has dismissed rumours she and Joe, 18, are more than friends.

‘There were no romances inside The X Factor house,' she tells Metro.

The pair apparently have plans to move in together.
