Roxanne Pallett pulls out of panto after friend's death

Actress has returned home to Carlisle

Actress Roxanne Pallett played Jo Sugden in ITV soap Emmerdale

Roxanne Pallett has pulled out of her pantomime role following the death of her best friend.

The ex-Emmerdale star, 26, was due to star in Cinderella at Newcastle's Theatre Royal.

It is not known when she will return to the production.  

'On Friday, December 11, Roxanne Pallett received the tragic news that her best friend from home had been found dead,' says her spokeswoman.

'She was and still is understandably in pieces and grieving in a great deal of shock.

'Roxanne was taken from the Theatre Royal in Newcastle where she was due to perform as Cinderella straight back to Carlisle to be with family at this heartbreaking time.'

Roxanne appeared on Dancing On Ice earlier this year.
