X Factor's John & Edward ready for The Simpsons

Twins being considered for cameo

John and Edward Grimes could appear on The Simpsons.

The X Factor stars have caught the attention of producers on the Fox show.

‘Castings are not something we can talk publicly about, but we are taking a look at the boys,' says a spokesman.

‘We love anything Irish - we set a whole show there last year. They are certainly charming and good-looking fellows.'

John and Edward, 18, hope the producers will give them a call. 

‘We would love to be on The Simpsons,' Edward tells The Sun. ‘John, Edward and The Simpsons - we're best friends with Bart!'

Meanwhile, Jedward will go head-to-head with Simon Cowell, 50, and Louis Walsh for the Funniest Double Act gong at Loaded's annual Lafta Awards on 27 January.
