Simon Cowell: I want Eminem as guest judge on The X Factor

Music mogul wants to take up rapper's offer

Simon Cowell respects Eminem's opinion

Simon Cowell is keen for Eminem to join The X Factor. 

Last week, the rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, revealed that he wanted to join Cheryl Cole, 26, Dannii Minogue, 38, and Louis Walsh on the panel. 

‘No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars,' the 37-year-old said.

‘You need to prepare contestants for what it's really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.'

And now Simon, 50, has responded to Eminem's offer.

'It would be great to have him on as a guest judge,' he tells the Daily Star. 'Em - I can call him that because we are on first name terms - the job is yours.'
