The X Factor tour has been extended due to a high volume of requests for tickets.

John and Edward Grimes - who were voted off the show last week - are behind the huge demand.

The twins divided the public with their quirky performances but managed to win over Simon Cowell after weeks of criticism.

Extra dates have been added in Liverpool, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sheffield, Manchester, Cardiff, Newcastle and Dublin.

Finalists Joe McElderry, Lloyd Daniels, Olly Murs, Danyl Johnson, John and Edward, Stacey Solomon and Jamie Archer have all been confirmed for the tour.

It kicks off in Liverpool on 15 February next year.
