Ex-Corrie star has been told to rest

Julie Goodyear stripped off to promote Calendar Girls with Kelly Brook

Julie Goodyear has had to abandon her role in West End show Calendar Girls.

The former Coronation Street star, 67, has been struck down with a 'debilitating virus'.

'She will be fine,' her spokeswoman tells the BBC.

'She just needs to rest and that would be impossible with eight shows a week.'

Julie will be replaced by ex-EastEnders actress Hannah Waterman from 1 December.

Calendar Girls, at London's Noel Coward Theatre, also stars Kelly Brook.
