John and Edward Grimes have lots of dedicated fans

John and Edward Grimes were booted off The X Factor tonight.

Despite the press going Jedward crazy, finally the viewing public stopped voting for them so enthusiastically and the boys ended up in the bottom two acts.

The big shock was that they had to sing again against Olly Murs, not Lloyd Daniels, as many had expected.

On Saturday night, the 18-year-old brothers sang a Wham! medley (I'm Your Man and Wham! Rap) and tonight selected Boyzone's No Matter What.

Olly chose Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight to prove he deserved to stay in the competition - and won over Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.

Simon Cowell voted for his own act so the Irish teenagers couldn't survive with just menor Louis Walsh's vote.
