Leona Lewis reckons The X Factor doesn't place enough emphasis on vocal talents.
The singer - who won the ITV programme in 2006 - says acts can now get through on their personality alone.
‘It's more of an entertainment show,' says Leona, 24. 'It's a TV show and they want their entertainment value.
'It's not just about singing really well any more.'
Leona - who topped the album chart with Echo on Sunday - is impressed at how lavish the stage productions have become.‘When I was on the show in 2006 it was only about the singing,' she tells the News Of The World.
‘We were lucky if we got some good lights. I can't believe how much it has changed.'
