The X Factor's Jamie: I can use my afro as a bag

Former X Factor star Jamie Archer admits having big hair does have its drawbacks.

The singer often finds objects trapped in his barnet.

‘Because my hair is so far from my skull I honestly can't feel half the things that land on it,' Jamie tells Now Online.

‘I find all sorts of rubbish in there - leaves, pencils, bits and bobs. People have said, "How did that end up in your hair?"

‘I think somebody's necklace ended up in my hair one time.'

But Jamie, 34, has no plans to shave off his afro.

‘Never,' he says. ‘I would never cut it off. If I cut it, it would be like, "Who am I?" The hair is here to stay...

‘I could hide all sorts of things in there. I don't even need a bag.

'I could put a mobile phone or my wallet in there; just pull things out of my hair like some sort of magician.'
