Alan Sugar fronts The Apprentice

The new series of The Apprentice has been pushed back until summer 2010.

The show, which was due to start in March, has been moved to avoid a clash with the general election.

The BBC Trust ruled there would be an increased 'risk to impartiality' after Sir Alan Sugar's appointment as the government's business advisor.

Spin-off programme Junior Apprentice has also been postponed.
