Watchdog receives 3,000 complaints
Tuesday, 10 November 2009
Ofcom will not launch a probe into Lucie Jones' exit from The X Factor on Sunday night.
Viewers complained that judge Simon Cowell, 50, let the decision go to Deadlock following her sing-off with John and Edward Grimes.
He previously stated he would leave the country if the twins, 18, won the competition.
Ofcom says it does not investigate the outcome of programmes.
An ITV spokesman has played down the situation, saying: ‘The X Factor result can divide opinion and provoke comment from viewers.'

Hi it is stupid having the twins in the X Factor if u want no one to watch next years 1 then go ahead and let them win! But listn to the audince and they say boo when they walk out onto the stage!! SIMON made a wrong discon Lucie was a strong sinnger!! Boo to simon and if the twins do WIN I WONT BE WATCHING NEXT YEAR!!!
simon cowell is one of the most dullest people ever
YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK YOUR SPELLING BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE TWINS AND AS FOR PEOPLE BOOING THEM IT IS A FORM OF BULLYING AND SEEN AS THEY HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR WITHOUT THE LOWEST AMOUNT OF VOTES OBVIOUSLY THE MAJORITY OF THE UK PUBLIC WANT TO SEE THEM WEEK AFTER WEEK AND PEOPLE SHOULD JUST REMEMBER THEY ARE 18 YEAR OLD KIDS WHO CAN'T HELP THE FACT THAT OTHER, PERHAPS, BETTER SINGERS ARE BEING KICKED OUT BEFORE THEM.
