Ricky Whittle splits from Hollyoaks co-star Carley Stenson

Ricky Whittle and Hollyoaks co-star Carley Stenson have broken up.

The couple met on the Channel 4 soap and started dating in October 2007.

'Carley Stenson and Ricky Whittle have announced their decision to separate,' a Hollyoaks spokesperson tells Digital Spy.

'The pair remain good friends but do not wish to comment any further.'

Ricky, 27, who plays Calvin Valentine, is currently appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.

What!! They were such a great couple and so genuine to the public. I thought they'd at least get up to marriage, but then again no celebrity couples are genuine. Apart from the small minority.
