OUCH! Richard Hammond rips tendons in ankle

Top Gear presenter now on crutches

Richard Hammond is in pain

Richard Hammond picked up an injury when he tripped while out jogging. 

The Top Gear host was jogging near his home in Hertfordshire when he took a tumble.

Brave Richard, 39, still managed to record an appearance on The Paul O'Grady Show.

He arrived at the London studio on crutches with a bandaged ankle. 

'I was running this morning and I fell over and did my ankle in!' he told guest host Peter Andre, 36.

'Pulled the tendons off the bone.'
