The X Factor's John and Edward: Cheryl's promised us a date

Twins excited about judge's suggestion

John and Edward have split the public with their performances on The X Factor

The X Factor's John and Edward Grimes have revealed Cheryl Cole's offered to go out with them.

The controversial twins are convinced the Girls Aloud star is a lot fonder of them than she lets on.

‘Cheryl has promised us a date so we will be cashing in on that!,' John tells the Daily Star Sunday. 'She is our perfect woman.

‘She has a smile that melts your heart and I think she has a soft spot for us, despite what she says on the show.'

John and Edward, 18, have their own ideas about why they have stayed in the competition so long.

‘There is a reason why we are getting votes every week,' says Edward. ‘It has to be sex appeal and charm!
