Rumer Willis to have lesbian storyline in 90210

Producer says it's not a bid to grab headlines

Rumer Willis is the daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore

Rumer Willis will lock lips with a female co-star in 90210.

The actress's character Gia will be involved in a lesbian storyline.

‘This isn't a fling,' says executive producer Rebecca Sinclair.

‘We're coming at this [relationship] from a genuine place and not going, "Let's do a titillating story that will grab some promotion".

‘This is a real aspect of teenager life that's interesting ... And there's been a real void in the 90210 universe in terms of gay and bisexual characters.'

Rumer will be seen hooking up with co-star Jessica Lowndes from January.

‘I've never kissed a girl before,' she tells Entertainment Weekly. ‘So it's a little nerve-racking.'
