The X Factor's John and Edward Grimes were given a very special 18th birthday present at the weekend.

The controversial twins were apparently serenaded by Whitney Houston.

The singer is said to have belted out Happy Birthday for the pair while she gave all the finalists some performance tips.

‘The twins couldn't believe they were celebrating their 18th with Whitney,' a source tells The Sunday People. ‘They were even more excited than usual.'

Meanwhile, X Factor choreographer Brian Friedman has tipped John and Edward to go all the way in the competition.
