But media watchdog won't be investigating
Thursday, 15 October 2009
Ofcom has received 3,885 complaints about Dannii Minogue's comments on Saturday's episode of The X Factor.
Viewers contacted the media watchdog after the judge remarked on contestant Danyl Johnson's sexuality.
The 27-year-old changed the words of song And I Am Telling You to sing about a woman instead of a man.
‘If we're to believe what we read in the papers there was no need to switch the gender reference,' said Dannii, 37, referring to reports Danyl is bisexual.
Despite the backlash, Ofcom says it will not be investigating the matter.
Dannii apologised to Danyl on the results show on Sunday. He says he was not offended.
