Dannii Minogue says there is no ill will between her and Danyl Johnson

Dannii Minogue insists that she and Danyl Johnson get on well, despite her 'barbed' remark on Saturday night's X Factor.

Danyl changed the lyric to Dreamgirls hit And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going - because it is usually sung by a woman about a man.

Dannii told 27-year-old Danyl, 'If we are to believe everything we read in the paper maybe you didn't need to change the gender reference in it'.

The talent show contestant - who admits dating men as well as women - looked perplexed by the comment and on Sunday, Dannii apologised on air.

She wrote on her blog before the X Factor results show: 'It was meant to be a humorous moment about the fact he has an opportunity to have fun with his song. An openly bisexual singing a song that is lyrically a girl's song.

'I spoke to Danyl straight after the show last night and he wasn't offended or upset by my comments, and knew exactly what I was saying.'

Dannii, 37, also posted tweeted about the incident on her Twitter page. 'I thought we could have with it,' she wrote. 'A celebration of what makes him so special. I'm sorry if anyone was offended. He sang a great finale.'
