Strictly Come Dancing's Phil Tufnell has knee surgery

Former cricketer snapped in wheelchair

Phil Tufnell and Katya Virshilas are hoping he'll recover in time for Saturday's show

Phil Tufnell had an emergency operation to fix a cartilage tear in his knee yesterday.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, who was seen leaving hospital in a wheelchair, is now at home recovering.

Phil, 43, hopes to resume training on Thursday to practise his salsa routine with partner Katya Virshilas.

It is feared the former cricketer may have to pull out of the BBC show.
