Temple Hill Entertainment buys rights to LA Candy

Lauren Conrad has quit The Hills

Lauren Conrad's debut novel is to get the big screen treatment.

Temple Hill Entertainment has bought the rights to The Hills star's book LA Candy, reports Variety.

The novel - loosely based on Lauren's life - came out in June.

It is about a teenage girl who moves to Hollywood and lands a lead role in a reality show.

It's not known if Lauren, 23, who has signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins, will appear in the film.
