Footballer angered by Jordan's ex

Dwight Yorke dated Jordan for 18 months

Dwight Yorke insists he would have liked to have been more involved with his son's upbringing.

The footballer, who is father to Jordan's 7-year-old disabled son Harvey, has spoken out about his 18-month relationship with the glamour model in his new autobiography - and his feelings towards Peter Andre.

‘This man got under my skin at the outset,' he reveals.

Peter, 36, became step-dad to Harvey after he married Katie Price in September 2005.

Dwight was angered when the singer asked if he could adopt Harvey.

‘[Jordan and Peter] had the gall to talk about Andre adopting him,' he says. ‘I so so wanted to grab him around the neck and throttle him for his insensitivity.

‘Having put up with everything his missus had thrown at me, I now had to listen to this idiot lecturing me on fatherhood? I don't think so. The guy's a muppet.'

Dwight, 37, claims he wasn't the bad father he has been made out to be and blames Jordan for his lack of involvement in their son's life.

‘I've heard Katie saying how Andre is Harvey's dad and what a terrible uncaring father I've been, all of which sticks in my throat.

‘Maybe if she hadn't made life so difficult for me, I might have been able to take a more proactive role.'
