Daniella Westbrook: The closest I come to coke is the bottled variety

Danniella Westbrook will leave EastEnders at Christmas

Danniella Westbrook says she is not tempted to take drugs again.

The actress, who plays Sam Mitchell in EastEnders, has been clean for eight years.

‘My life is pretty boring now,' says Daniella, 35. ‘We don't even have a drop of alcohol in the house.

'The closest I come to coke these days is the bottled variety at the kids' birthday parties.

‘There's no chance of slipping up because there's no temptation. I'm 35. Can you imagine me in a nightclub?'

Daniella had to have her nose reconstructed because of cocaine abuse.

And some critics have commented on her changed appearance since she returned to the soap.

‘I don't care what people say about my looks,' she tells the Sunday Mirror. ‘I know I'm never going to win any awards for being beautiful.

‘They've said I look older and less attractive. But they can say what they like because it's water off a duck's back to me.

'I'm 20 years older and after what I put my body through what am I supposed to look like - a teenager? I'm bloody lucky to be alive.'
