Actress reprising role as Amanda Woodward
Wednesday, 23 September 2009
Heather Locklear is rejoining the cast of cult US programme Melrose Place.
The actress, 47, will reprise her role as scheming Amanda Woodward in a new version of the series.
‘We're ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place,' say executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer.
‘Heather's involvement in the show is something we've been working on for some time as we couldn't imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character's inclusion.'
Heather's alter-ego was last seen faking her own death in the 1999 Melrose Place season finale.
Her dramatic comeback will air on the CW network 17 November.

Hope Heather Locker’s return can save the show….this show has been great so far, and last night’s episode was the best yet. I couldn’t believe it when I read on Perez Hilton that the ratings are taking a big dive which is so stupid because this show is just getting better…so come on people stop being so LAME! I was so glad they had Taryn Manning guest star last night – love her! She even pulled a gun on Jonah as they played the Boomkat song “Run Boy” – it was so great. Makes me so envious of her dancing…*sigh. Bring Taryn back for more episodes and let’s make Heather a full-time, permanent cast member again!
