Robbie Williams to perform new single on The X Factor

Singer will sing Bodies live on the show

Former Take That singer Robbie Williams is ready to step back into the limelight

Robbie Williams is to make his long-awaited comeback on The X Factor.

The ex-Take That star will give a world exclusive performance of his new single Bodies on the first live final.

The show - which will air in October - will be the first time Robbie has played in the UK since 2006.

‘I'm a huge fan of The X Factor,' he says in a statement. ‘Of course I'll be watching every week, just like everyone else.'

Last month, Robbie announced he was to appear on the ITV programme, but never confirmed if he would perform.

Bodies is out on 12 October and his album Reality Killed The Video Star follows on 9 November.
