Samantha Womack says goodbye to 'best dad ever'

EastEnders star supported by husband Mark at Brighton service

Samantha and Mark Womack were among 100 mourners

Samantha Womack led the tributes at her dad's funeral yesterday. 

Samantha, who was snapped in tears, and husband Mark, 48, were among 100 mourners at the service in the seaside town.

'I cried my eyes out - I've never seen so many people crying,' pal Mark Berridge, 49, tells The Sun.

'He'll be deeply missed. Sam penned him a tribute and they played a song that Noel wrote for her.

'She was in tears, she said how much she loved him
and he was the best dad ever.'

Sam, 36, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, had a strained relationship with Noel.

He walked out on her mother Diane when she was six.

'The death is not being treated as suspicious,’ a Sussex Police spokesman has confirmed.
