Big Brother to end next year

Channel 4 will air final series in 2011

Big Brother is hosted by Davina McCall

Channel 4 has confirmed it is to axe Big Brother.

The final series will be aired next summer as part of a deal with makers Endemol.

Big Brother launched in 2002 to huge ratings – but the current run has seen a dip in viewing figures.

Endemol could revive the show if they reach an agreement with another broadcaster.
