Samantha Womack's dad was thought to have depression

Samantha Womack is in mourning following the death of her dad.

Noel Janus, 60, was reportedly found hanging in the bathroom of his council flat in Brighton by a pal.

'We were called by an ambulance crew at about 1.30pm on Saturday,’ says a Sussex Police spokesman.

'The death is not being treated as suspicious. An inquest will be held in due course.'

A distraught Samantha, 36, visited the property with actor husband Mark, 48, yesterday.

‘She asks to be left alone to grieve with her family,’ he told The Sun.

Samantha, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, had a strained relationship with Noel.
