Actor gets his backside out instead of chef

Jamie Oliver's first show was called The Naked Chef

Jamie Oliver used a stand-in to spare his blushes in a promo for his new Channel 4 show.

The chef dresses as all the members of the Village People to plug American Road Trip.

But in one shot, actor Steve Clarke bares his bottom as the scantily-clad biker - not Jamie, 34.

‘It was great being Jamie's bum double and he was absolutely lovely, very friendly,' he tells The Sun.

'It was a long day, and an all leather outfit isn't ideal clothing on the hottest day of the year, but it was great fun.

‘When we did the final “reveal” shot there were real holidaymakers in the airport who must have got an eyeful. My partner Rebecca thinks it's fantastic.

‘I'm used to getting my kit off in front of an audience. I did the stage show of The Full Monty last year, so I wasn't worried when I was asked to do this.'

Jamie’s American Road Trip debuts on Channel 4 on 1 September.

In the six-part series, he travels across the States looking at foods eaten by different groups.
