Andrew Castle's revealed his eldest child nearly lost her life after having swine flu medication.
The GMTV host's daughter Georgina, 16, who has asthma, had a respiratory collapse after taking Tamiflu in May.
When she was taken to hospital, doctors discovered she was not infected in the first place.
‘My wife Sophia went to collect the Tamiflu, explained our daughter was an asthmatic and that she had flu-like symptoms,’ he tells the Daily Mail.
'She was handed a double dose which Georgina duly took. She went downhill quite rapidly to the point where she was having great difficulty breathing.
'She was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting and put in isolation for three days. She made a rapid recovery thankfully.'
Andrew, 45, who is also dad to Claudia, 14, tackled the government’s Health Secretary Andy Burnham over Tamiflu on GMTV yesterday.
