Kate Walsh has signed up to present a new nightly TV show.

The Apprentice runner-up will join Ian Wright, 46, and Melinda Messenger, 38, to discuss topical stories for Live From Studio Five.

The hour-long programme – expected to be similar to the BBC’s One Show – starts next month.

‘Becoming part of the presenting team on the new show is an exhilarating and thrilling challenge – and I do love a challenge!’ she says.

Kate, 27, who has already hosted a fashion slot on GMTV, lost in the final to restaurateur Yasmina Siadatan, 27.
