Susan Boyle leaves Scotland for London

Singer is relocating to pursue her career

Susan Boyle admits she's had a sheltered life in her hometown of West Lothian

Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle is leaving Scotland behind.

The singer has relocated from West Lothian to London to focus on her music career.

She now lives in the capital with her cat Pebbles and an assistant.

‘I’ll go back to visit, but you have to move on sometime,’ she says.

Susan, 48, became an internet sensation when her audition was posted online.

‘YouTube? What's that? A tube of candy? I don't think so!’ she tells Harper's Bazaar.

‘That was a shock. The YouTube thing was like a demolition ball. It was just overwhelming.

'To find TV stations camped outside your door and the phone ringing 24 hours a day. It was too big for anyone to handle.’
