SEE PIC Coldplay to appear in The Simpsons

Band arrive in Springfield when Homer wins cash

Chris Martin makes a rare public appearance
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will have a speaking part in The Simpsons

Coldplay will make a cameo in the new series of The Simpsons.

The band – Chris Martin, 32, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion – recorded their scene last week.

They turn up in Springfield when Homer Simpson wins the lottery.

Chris recorded his part with Dan Castellaneta [the voice of Homer] last week,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘He had four lines to do and rattled them off. It was surreal hearing Homer and Chris talking but a really good laugh.

Chris is the only one in the band with a speaking part, which he thoroughly enjoyed.’

Sir Paul McCartney
, Bono and Sir Elton John have starred in the show in the past.
