Susan Boyle was left speechless when she came face-to-face with Elaine Paige this week.

The Britain's Got Talent star met her idol during an interview on US show Today.

‘Oh, my God,’ the 48-year-old yelped as she put her hands over her mouth.

When she auditioned for the ITV programme, Susan admitted she was a huge fan of Elaine, 61.

Donny Osmond also paid tribute to her in a video recording on Today.

‘Some day, I make a prediction, you and me will do a record together,’ he said. ‘We'll re-record Puppy Love.’

Meanwhile, Susan’s record label insist her debut single is yet to be chosen.

It was reported she'd release a cover of Moon River, sung by Audrey Hepburn in 1961 movie Breakfast At Tiffany's.
