Contestants may hold memorial for the singer

Michael Jackson died of a suspected heart attack

Big Brother housemates have learned of Michael Jackson’s death – 19 days after it happened.

Former contestant Federico Martone told Noirin Kelly when he entered the compound as part of Big Brother’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

She then went to the Diary Room and asked permission to tell the rest of the group.

‘For me this is a really big deal because I loved his music,’ she announced. ‘Michael Jackson has died. He was an icon of my time.’

The housemates now plan to hold a memorial for the Thriller star.
