Jayne Middlemiss wins Celebrity Masterchef

Presenter impresses with her cooking skills

Jayne Middlemiss won Celebrity Love Island in 2005

Jayne Middlemiss has been crowned the winner of this year's Celebrity Masterchef.

The presenter, 38, beat Iwan Thomas and Wendi Peters in the final.

'Its so exciting,' Jayne said after her win. 'It was an incredible experience; it's given me confidence to realise my passion for cooking.

'Taking part has been one of the toughest things I've done, it's like running a marathon.'

Jayne and the other finalists had to compete in a week-long challenge that saw them cook for 90 crewmembers of TV show Ashes To Ashes.

'Jayne has complete understanding of modern food and is a deserving winner,' said judge John Torode.
