Zoe Lister quits Hollyoaks

Actress will exit the Channel 4 soap in December

Zoe Lister's character had a lesbian kiss with her pal Sarah Barnes

Zoe Lister is leaving Hollyoaks after three years on the show.

The actress, who plays Zoe Carpenter, wants to try new things.

'It's scary but also very, very exciting,' Zoe, 27, tells The Sun. 'You get to a point where you either make a decision that this is what you do or you try something different.

'When you're an actor you don't imagine yourself in the same job for years. So when you are in the same job for a few years you think "hang on, what am I doing this for?".'

Zoe will make her exit in December.
