TV host finding the media job market very different now
Sunday, 14 June 2009
Fiona Phillips regrets leaving GMTV.
The presenter, 48, quit in December and is now finding it hard to get new projects off the ground because of the credit crunch.
'It was a pretty silly time to give up a big job,' she says.
Fiona has had the plug pulled on several new formats.
'In one week I lost 2 programmes lined up for April and May and a Channel 4 teatime show in June, all because of money,' she tells the Daily Express.
'There aren't many people commissioning things. If I'd been paid for every meeting I'd been in I'd be a multi-millionaire.'
