Sarah Ferguson is apparently in talks to replace Fern Britton on This Morning.

The Duchess of York, 49, is thought to have impressed producers with her work on two recent ITV documentaries.

‘She is a big fan of the show and is keen to carry on her TV work,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘She loves interviewing.

‘Even if she doesn't end up doing the job, we would still love her to make films for us and she could definitely be a stand-in host.’

Meanwhile, Emma Forbes, 44, who worked with Phillip Schofield on ITV's Talking Telephone Numbers, has also expressed an interest in the position.

‘Would I take the job? You bet,’ she tells the Daily Mirror. ‘It would be a dream. I'd love to work with Phillip again. So yes, I'm on the list - but so are about 15 million other female presenters.

‘I haven't been interviewed. I don't know if anyone has. You don't know until you know.’

Fiona Phillips
, Coleen Nolan, Christine Bleakley and Holly Willoughby are also in the running.

‘We are talking to a number of people at the moment, but will not be confirming who will be taking over from Fern until later in the year,’ says a spokesman for the show.
