Rock legend is considering offer
Friday, 22 May 2009
Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that she’s in talks with Strictly Come Dancing bosses.
The rock legend has resisted offers to appear on the BBC show until now, because she was contracted to rival ITV programme The X Factor.
‘I’ve been approached to take part in the next Strictly Come Dancing,’ Sharon, 56, tells the Daily Mirror.
‘I was asked to do it last year but I turned it down. I thought it would be disrespectful to Simon Cowell as it is The X Factor’s opposition. But this year, I’m seriously thinking about doing it. I’m so close.’
Sharon quit The X Factor last year because she couldn’t get along with Dannii Minogue, 37.
She was replaced as a judge by Cheryl Cole, 25.
