Phillip Taylor was fired after making no sales in his final task

Philip Taylor has compared Sir Alan Sugar to Cilla Black.

The Apprentice reject is grateful to the tycoon after he found love with Kate Walsh on his show.

‘My relationship with Kate cost me The Apprentice title – but it was worth it,’ he says.

‘I may not have a job for life but Sir Alan’s given me the woman of my life. He was my very own Cilla Black!’

Phillip, 29, was given the boot ahead of Kate, 27, after they botched a sales task because they were too busy flirting.

‘I had a tear in my eye as I left the boardroom,’ Phillip tells the News Of The World.

‘As much as it was hurting Kate inside she wouldn’t let anyone see it.

'She just threw her arms around me and whispered: “See ya, mate”.’

He and Kate are now said to be house-hunting together in London.
