Britain's Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi is among the favourites

Shaheen Jafargholi doesn’t see his Britain's Got Talent rival Susan Boyle as a threat.

The 12-year-old is too focused on perfecting his own performance to worry about anyone else.

‘I think Susan Boyle is absolutely phenomenal,’ Shaheen tells Now’s Olivia Bishop.

‘She’s got an amazing voice, she’s so talented and I wish her all the best and I really hope she goes far. But I don’t think anybody’s competition.

'I just came on the show to see what the outcome would be and it’s been amazing and hopefully I’m going to live my dream.

'And I want every single person that’s got something good out of this to live their dream too.’

Shaheen is determined to use his appearance on the show to launch a successful career.

‘I’d love everybody to recognise me and to walk down the street and have people say “oh look, there’s Shaheen”,’ he adds.

‘I’d just love to be a recording artist and I’d love to have a great life and I’d love people to say “Boy I wish I had a life like him.”

'At the moment I feel so amazing. People are watching me all over the world and they’re talking about me. I’d just like to thank everybody!’
