Luke Tittensor will not be returning to Emmerdale.

Soap bosses have decided to axe his character Daz Eden after the actor admitted GBH.

Luke faces up to five years in jail over an attack on a 16-year-old in Lancashire on 15 February 2008.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, suffered a broken jaw.

‘As Luke has pleaded guilty to the serious charge of GBH and we cannot condone criminal behaviour,’ confirms an ITV spokesman.

'We have met with Luke and his agent to explain that his contract with Emmerdale will be terminated.

Luke regrets his behaviour and understands this situation.’

Luke, 19, is due in court for sentencing on 29 April.

His last scenes will air on Friday.
