Amy Winehouse denies assault

Singer arrives at court with dad Mitch Winehouse

Amy Winehouse is being divorced by her husband Blake Fielder-Civil

Amy Winehouse pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault at Westminster Magistrates' Court today.

The Back To Black singer denies attacking dancer Sherene Flash in Berkeley Square after a charity ball in London in September 2008.

Amy, 25, who was accompanied by dad Mitch, 57, arrived late for the hearing.

Her lawyer Mark Haslam apologised District Judge Timothy Workman, saying she'd been delayed.

The case was adjourned until 23 July.
